Mitä?
Haku on suunnattu sirkuksen, tanssin, teatterin, esitystaiteen, performanssin ja nykynukketeatterin ammattilaisille. Hakea voit joko sooloesityksellä tai työryhmänä. Esityksen kesto voi olla 20-45 minuuttia. Telttanäyttämön ulkopuolella kestolliset esitykset, pelit, leikit ja harjoitteet ovat myös mahdollisia.
Etsimme keveitä, pienimuotoisia, telttaan soveltuvia, yllättäviä, tosissaan olevia, villejä, hersyviä ja anarkistisia esityksiä. Rohkaisemme erityisesti marginaalin tekijöitä hakemaan. Eri vähemmistöt ja taiteilijajoukon moninaisuus pyritään huomioimaan valintoja tehtäessä. Esitys voi olla jossain jo aiemmin esitetty, ensi-ilta tai esitysluonnos.
Esitysteltan kuraattoreina toimivat Veera Aaltonen, Rogerio Nuno Costa Silja Eriksson, Terhi Hartikainen, Miko Kivinen, Sanni Kriikku, Sonjis Laine ja Lauri Antti Mattila. Avoimen haun kautta valitaan tapahtumaan 4-11 esitystä. Valinnat ilmoitetaan viikolla 24.
Mikä on Esitysteltta?
Esitysteltta on taiteen saavutettavuutta parantava ja esitysten elinkaaria pidentävä, liikkuva nykytaiteen näyttämö. Kooltaan 4 x 8 m toriteltassa toimivan näyttämön lähtöajatuksena on tarjota esitysmahdollisuus sekä uusille että jo ensi-iltansa saaneille vapaan kentän nykyesityksille (tanssi-, sirkus-, esitystaide, nykynukketeatteri) sekä kokeellisen ja indie-musiikkikentän artisteille. Ohjelmisto valitaan kutsumenettelyllä sekä avoimen haun kautta.
Haluamme luoda tilan ja ympäristön, jossa taiteilijoiden työt eivät kilpaile keskenään vaan tukevat toisiaan. Jossa taide voi löytää uusia yleisöjä, uusia tapoja olla ja jäsentyä, lempeydessä, armollisuudessa ja herkkyydessä. Haluamme luoda kevyen rakenteen, joka antaa työskentelyalustan marginaalin tekijöille. Alustan, jotka tarjoaa tukea ja joka mahdollistaa kokeellista yhteisöllistä kuratointia ja uusia esittämisen tapoja. Joka ruokkii jatkumoja, yhteisöllisyyttä ja uusia yhteyksiä eri taiteenalojen yleisöjen ja taiteilijoiden kesken. Samalla Esitysteltta rakentaa uusia kestävämpiä ja kevyempiä tuotannon tapoja taidekentälle.
ESITYSTELTAN TEKNINEN INFO:
Tapahtumapaikkana on Mika Waltarin puisto Helsingin Töölössä. Kyseessä on pieni puisto Runeberginkadun ja Oksasenkadun välissä. Puistossa sijaitsee Veikko Hirvimäen toteuttama Mika Waltarin muistomerkki. Esitysteltta on pystytetty puiston 8 x 8 metrin hiekka pohjaiselle aukiolla, niin, että teltan pitkä sivu / takaseinä asettuu Eliten terassia vasten.
Teltta on 4 x 8 m vaaleanpunainen toriteltta, jossa on irroitettavat seinät (pitkän sivun seinissä on ikkunat). Alustana on hiekkapohja. Teltassa tai aukiolla ei ole kiinteää katsomoa. Yleisö käyttänee Mika Waltarin muistomerkin jalustaa, puiston penkkejä ja rappusia istumapaikkoina
Tarjoamme sähkön, perus äänitekniikan (PA, äänipöytä ja 2 x mikrofonia) ja teknikon / miksaajan esitysten käyttöön
Lähin WC ja vesipiste löytyvät Oksasenkatu 11 -galleriasta, joka on avoinna tapahtuman ajan.
Ei erillistä valaistusta. Tapahtuma-aikaan ulkona tulee olemaan valoisaa. Telttaa ei ole mahdollista pimentää
Esitysten rakennus ja purkuaika on rajattu, koska hahmotamme ohjelmaa tunnin slotteina. ( Telttanäyttämön ulkopuolella kestolliset esitykset ovat myös mahdollisia)
Yleisömäärää ei ole rajattu. Yleisö voidaan sijoittaa joko Mika Waltarin muistomerkin eteen ja ympärille tai tarvittaessa yleisön voi esityskohtaisesti kutsua myös teltan sisään. Teltan sisään mahtuu n. 30 hlö

Esteettömyystiedot
Mika Waltarin puiston aukiolle pääsee myös pyörätuolin kanssa, mutta valitettavasti gallerian tilat vessa mukaan lukien ovat esteelliset. Sisäänkäynnillä on 3 cm korkea kynnys, jota seuraa neljä luiskatonta porrasta. Ulko-oven leveys on 85 cm. Alakerran tilaan on kuljettava jyrkkiä kierreportaita pitkin. Tilassa ei ole hissiä ja siellä on pieni esteellinen vessa.
Esityksistä maksetaan korvaus
Palkkio voidaan maksaa vaihtoehtoisesti joko euroina (€) ja nannana (Ø):Nanna on uusi kokeellinen aikavaluutta, jota voi käyttää vastavuoroisiin palveluksiin valuutan haltijoiden kanssa.
Euroissa esityspalkkiot ovat: 190-234€ sooloesitys / 400-468€ duoesitys / 500-615€ ryhmä. Palkkiosummat tarkentuvat esiintyjien määrän ja kokoonpanojen selvittyä.

What?
The open call is aimed for circus, dance, theater, live art, performance and contemporary puppet theater professionals. You can apply either with a solo performance or as a working group. The duration of the performance can be between 20-45 minutes. Durational performances, games and shared exercises outside the tent stage are also possible.
We are looking for light, small-scale, tent-friendly, surprising, serious, wild, anarchistic and saucy shows. We especially encourage artists from margins to apply. Different minorities and the diversity of the linuep are taken into account when making the selection. The performance can be a show that has already been premiered, a premiere or a performance draft.
The curators of the performance tent are Terhi Hartikainen, Miko Kivinen, Sanni Kriikku, Sonjis Laine, Lauri Antti Mattila, Silja Eriksson, Rogerio Nuno Costa and Veera Aaltonen. 4-11 performances are selected for the event through the open call. Selections will be announced in week 24.
What is the Performance Tent (Esitysteltta)?
The Performance Tent is a new nomadic stage for contemporary art that improves the accessibility of art and extends the life cycle of performances. The idea of the stage operating in a 4 x 8 m market tent is to offer a performance opportunity for both new and already premiered contemporary performances as well as artists from the experimental and indie music fields. The programme is curated through invitation and an open call.
We want to create a space and an environment where artists' works do not compete with each other but support each other. Where art can find new audiences, new ways of being and structuring, in gentleness, mercy and sensitivity. We want to create a light structure that gives a platform for artists of the margin. A platform that offers support and enables experimenting on collective curation and new ways of presentation. Which nourishes continuity, community spirit and new connections between audiences and artists from different art fields. At the same time Performance Tent proposes new, more sustainable and lighter ways of production for the art field.
TECHNICAL INFO OF THE PERFORMANCE TENT:
The venue is Mika Waltari park in Töölö, Helsinki. It is a small park between Runeberginkatu and Oksasenkatu. In the park, there is a memorial to Mika Waltari, realized by Veikko Hirvimäki. The performance tent is set up in the park's 8 x 8 meter sand square, so that the long side / back wall of the tent faces Elite's terrace
The tent is a 4 x 8 m pink market tent with removable walls (the long side walls have windows). There’s no floor, the tent is in the park on a sandy field. There is no fixed seats in the tent or in the square. The audience will probably use the pedestal of Mika Waltari's monument, park benches and steps as seating
We provide electricity, basic sound technology (PA, sound desk and 2 x microphones) and a technician/mixer for performances
The nearest toilet and water point can be found in the Oksasenkatu 11 gallery, that is open during the event
There’s no separate lights for the tent. It will be bright outside during the event. It is not possible to darken the tent
The setting up / staging time of the performances is limited, because the program in divided into one-hour slots. (Durational performances outside the tent stage are also possible)
There is no limit to the number of audience. The audience can be placed either in front of and around the Mika Waltari monument or, if necessary, the audience can also be invited inside the tent depending on the performance. The tent can accommodate approx. 30 people.

Accessibility information
The Mika Waltari Park is accessible also with wheel chair, but unfortunately the gallery space including the toilet have limited accessibility. The outside entrance has a 3 cm high doorstep, followed by four steps without a ramp. The width of the outside door is 85 cm. In order to access the gallery's downstairs exhibition space, you have to go down a steep circular stairway. There is no elevator in the space and there is a small toilet with limited accessibility.
We have two optional currencies for fees, euro (€) & luxusnams (Ø):
Luxusnams are a new experimental time bank currency that can be used for reciprocal services with currency holders.
Performance fees in euros are: 190-234€ solo performance / 400-468€ duo performance / 500-615€ group. The prize sums will be specified after the number of performers and lineups have been determined.
